Recently Uncle Foo became viral from the power of social media when one good samaritan tweeted about his Shopee store & his sales have gone up from just 1 to 2 products a month to thousands of products sold. Never underestimate the power of social media as many news include good or bad can spread as fast as the wind. Uncle Foo has since gained massive supports and fans, including myself.

Uncle Foo is an agent for Bliese- an air freshener producer that aspires to create a serene and tranquil atmosphere to stimulate progression positively. Since I am always looking for ways to keep my home smelling nice, I purchased five bottles of air freshener from Uncle Foo, however only four arrived. I guess the number of orders was overwhelming that he overlooked it. I contacted him via Shopee store & he gave me his number to follow up. Later on, he shipped the balance 1 bottle. I bought Lavender & Coffee flavours from him. The Coffee flavour definitely smells amazing if you are a coffee lover. As I found Uncle Foo’s story inspiring, I texted to ask him if he was interested to be part of #BBMGetInspired, to which he agreed.

With the launch of BBM Youtube Channel, I am keen to have him in as one of my guests in my first #BBMGetInspired live. We scheduled our first video call where I shared with him the list of questions to check if he was okay with them, along with the format of the interview.

During the interview, there were many things that I was able to learn from Uncle Foo. Firstly, he mentioned that he is not a guy that can easily give up. This itself says a lot because for someone who sold perfume for almost 2 years to finally make it. The journey must be really tough. Most of us would have given up but Uncle Foo persevered and kept. Secondly, despite all hardship, his energy is still very high. I have requested him to sing his motivation song “Fikirkan Boleh” for 1 minute, but he replied, “I will sing until finish”. I truly respect Uncle Foo for his high spirit.
