What I Hope To Achieve By 50

Hello, Grasshoppa,

Have you ever contemplated what you hope to achieve at a certain age? Recently, when I discovered James Clear’s book, “Atomic Habits,” they were discussing how to establish good habits through a system of compound growth. In essence, when you have a goal, the only way to attain it is by cultivating habits rooted in consistency. I find this book fascinating, and I’m still in the process of reading it. The connection between the book and my aspirations for when I reach the age of 50 revolves around building the habits I’m cultivating now and how they can assist me in achieving my goals at 50.

1. Retirement with a Debt-Free Life
On my blog, I consistently emphasize my goal of retiring at 40. My objective to retire by the age of 40 without any debt has remained unchanged since day one, and I am still diligently working towards it. When I turn 50, I will be entering my 10th year of enjoying my retirement life.
2. Living Off My Passive Income
Over the years, I have been steadily building my passive income through investments and my businesses. With my efforts to increase my investments and expand my business, I should be capable of covering my expenses while enjoying my retirement life.
3. **Business**
Expanding my gym business has always been one of my ambitions. We started in 2012 with a single branch, and ten years later, we opened our second branch in Bukit Mertajam. I aspire to expand to at least five branches by the time I’m 50. As for the other businesses I’m venturing into, I foresee the expansion of brands and products as well.

4. Winning at Least 1 World Championship in BJJ Tournaments
I will soon be competing in the World BJJ Tournament, and I hope to secure a gold medal and become the first world champion from Penang, Malaysia. The beauty of BJJ tournaments is that they offer competitions for all belt levels and age groups. I have a lifetime to pursue this goal, but my aim is to achieve it before I turn 50.
5. Traveling to at Least 100 Countries
At the age of 36, I have only visited four countries so far, but this year, I anticipate visiting six more. I have 14 years to reach my goal of visiting at least 100 countries.
6. Spreading My Love for BJJ Around the World
I have been actively promoting BJJ in Penang, and I hope to continue doing so while traveling around the world.

7. Continuing to Write BBM
I hope to continue writing my blog and sharing it with you all.

Conclusion:

These are the goals I aspire to achieve when I turn 50. The habits I’ve been developing from day one will eventually assist me in reaching my goals, and I have 14 years to accomplish most of them. It’s a journey I’ve been building on a daily basis through my current habits and daily routine. This blog will serve as an excellent platform for documenting each step of my journey, and I hope you’ll still be reading it by then.
